BoI AGM expected to approve Boucher's €800k wage

Bank of Ireland has said its depositors have reacted well to the ending of the Government guarantee scheme.

The scheme expired on March 28 and in a trading update this morning the Bank said there has been no negative impact on deposit volumes.

The bank's AGM takes place later this morning at which Richie Boucher's salary of €800,000 is expected to be approved.

Yesterday, the Finance Minister Michael Noonan indicated he will not oppose the generous pay package.
