Ireland has seen one of the largest decreases in unemployment across the EU in the year to June.
Figures released by Eurostat show our rate fell from 13.6% to 11.8%.
Other countries which experienced significant falls in unemployment include Portugal and Hungary.
Among the Member States, the lowest unemployment rates were recorded in Austria (5%), Germany (5.1%) and Malta (5.6%).
Greece and Spain have the highest unemployment rates in the EU.
