Is nobody safe from the nefarious Colin?

Sky News Twitter account latest to be hacked

Last week the Twitter account of the Associated Press was hacked, with a fake warning of a White House bomb attack that sent Wall Street into a tailspin.

This morning, it was the turn of Sky News. Wall Street didn't notice, but everybody else on Twitter thought it was hilarious.

It was up for about half an hour before it was spotted and deleted.

Sky News have since issued an indignant press release.

YOU HEAR THAT COLIN?!?!?!! DON'T BLOODY DO IT AGAIN!

The AP weren't the only major news organisation to get infiltrated last week - The Onion also got hacked, by the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA), after which the satirical site posted a detailed account of how it happened in an effort to help others avoid the same fate.

We conclude from all this that Sky News doesn't read The Onion.
