Police officers in Newham, east London had an unusual callout yesterday after they were tasked to deal with two 8ft boa constrictors on the loose in a local hedge.
But armed with only brown paper bags and a litter-picking thing, the brave bobbies managed to wrestle the beasts into submission, to the delight of onlookers
All except the female officer at the scene, who at 0:50 barges the cameraman out of the way with the immortal words "F***in' hell… I don't do snakes at all."
The snakes are now with the RSPCA and officers believe they may have been released as unwanted pets.
"This is certainly the most bizarre call I can think of my officers dealing with during my time in Newham," borough commander Tony Nash said.
"But it just goes to highlight how the police must be prepared to deal with any event, often putting themselves in danger, to protect the public."
Geezers. Respect, innnit.
