Girls Aloud singer joins 'All Stars' cast
Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh has joined the cast of forthcoming British feelgood movie 'All Stars'.
The 30-year-old singer – who has just finished a sell-out run as Princess Fiona in 'Shrek: The Musical' – will star alongside 'Outnumbered' actor Hugh Dennis, 'Extras' actress Ashley Jensen and So Solid Crew rapper-turned-actor Ashley Walters.
'All Stars' follows two young friends – played by 'Horrid Henry: The Movie' star Theo Stevenson and Akai Osei from 'Street Dance 2' – who dream of bringing together a group of misfits and putting on the show of a lifetime in order to save their local youth centre.
Walsh will play Trish, who joins the fight to save the centre.
She said: “I loved the script as soon as I read it. It is a heart-warming family film that will put a huge smile on your face.”
As well as 'Shrek and Horrid Henry: The Movie', Walsh also played a cameo in the 1997 'St Trinian’s' movie with the rest of Girls Aloud.
'All Stars' will begin filming this month.
