Irish film 'The Crush' nominated for Best Live Action Short

Ireland will be represented at the Oscars again this year after short film 'The Crush' was nominated.

The film has been nominated for Best Live Action Short.

It was written and directed by first-timer Michael Creagh, and produced by Damon Quinn.

The Arts Council has already congratulated the team behind the production.

Belfast-born Michael explains how he heard the news:

"I got a voicemail that said 'I believe congratulations are in order'," he said.

And how did he react?

"I just kind of got out the way for a few hours to try to calm myself, and had a coffee. Then the phone started ringing off the hook," he said.
