Gardaí are investigating after two bodies were found in Co Sligo yesterday evening.

Gardaí are investigating after two bodies were found in Co Sligo yesterday evening.

A nine-year-old boy was found with stab wounds in a house at a location known as Banada, Tourlestrane, Tubbercurry, in Sligo.

He was removed from the scene by Air Ambulance and taken to Sligo Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 21-year-old man was found deceased in an outside shed at the same location.

The State Pathologist's office has been notified and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
