Car mileage to be included on NCT certs from today
A cars mileage will be put on NCT certificatess from today in a bid to crackdown on the practice of "clocking".
It is one of the measures being introduced to improve the test.
Motorists will also be able to get their cars checked anytime before the due date. Until now, it was 90 days in advance.
"They're positive measures that are being introduced on the NCT - which will I think make things easier for any who's maybe looking to sell the car - or certainly those involved in the second-hand car trade," said Road Safety Authority communications manager Brian Farrell.
