FF's Devins to step down at Election
Jimmy Devins has become the latest Fianna Fáil TD to announce he will not be contesting the next General Election.
The Sligo North Leitrim deputy says that following consultation with his family, friends and supporters he has decided to withdraw from public life.
He was first elected to the Dáil in 2002, serving as a junior minister in two departments.
However deputy Devins resigned the Fianna Fáil party whip in August 2009 over the removal of breast cancer services at Sligo General Hospital.
