Two women and two children have been rescued from a house fire in Co Limerick.

Two women and two children have been rescued from a house fire in Co Limerick.

Gardaí and the emergency services were alerted to the blaze at Mungret at around 11am this morning.

Gardaí managed to rescue the four people who were in the house, who were all treated for smoke inhalation.

The scene has been sealed off and a technical examination is being carried out, but gardai say they do not believe the fire to be suspicious at this stage.
