Galway gardaí arrest man in cannabis factory raid

A man is being questioned by gardaí in Galway following the discovery of a cannabis factory in the city.

A man is being questioned by gardaí in Galway following the discovery of a cannabis factory in the city.

The 37-year-old was arrested following the search of a house on New Road at around 8pm last night.

Up to 100 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €60,000 were found during the search of the premises where cultivation equipment was also seized.

The man is being held at Galway garda station.
