Police in the North are warning the public not to approach an escaped prisoner who has been on the run since yesterday afternoon.
Convicted murderer Thomas Valliday fled from prison staff during a hospital visit in Co Down and is considered to be dangerous.
The 27-year-old was jailed in 2010 for battering 51-year-old Frank McGreevy to death in Belfast, while on drink and drugs.
Valliday has served five years out of a 17-year sentence.
