Weather forces Dublin Airport to divert flights

The Dublin Airport Authority says crosswinds over the airfield there have caused a number of flights to be diverted to Shannon or Belfast.

Passengers are being advised to check their airline's website before travelling to the airport.

Winds are said to reach gusts of between 90 and 120km per hour this afternoon.

Dublin Airport have diverted the following flights to Belfast International and Shannon Airport:

EI-536 from Barcelona diverted to Belfast

EI-331 from Berlin diverted to Belfast

EI-3223 from Glasgow diverted to Belfast

EI-403 from Rome diverted to Shannon

EI-605 from Amsterdam diverted to Shannon

EI-353 from Munich diverted to Shannon

EI-159 from London Heathrow diverted to Shannon

AA092 from Chicago diverted to London Heathrow

LX-4883 from Luxembourg diverted to Shannon

SK-353 from Stockholm diverted to Belfast

FR-023 from Beauvais diverted to Shannon
