The Government is coming under heavy fire this evening over reports that the Minister for Finance kept secret plans for €900m in cuts.

Documents leaked to the media say that services across the board including the health sector and social welfare are due to be affected by the cuts.

The Labour Party are now calling for the immediate resignation of the Finance Minister.

TD Brendan Howlin insists that these leaks are only the tip of the iceberg.

In addition, Sinn Fein says that Mr. McCreevy must now come clean about the nearly €1bn cuts.
