This afternoon’s meeting at Wetherby is subject to a further inspection at 10am due to a frozen track.

Clerk of the course James Sanderson called a precautionary check for 8am yesterday and even though parts of the course are frozen, temperatures are due to rise.

“We are having another look at 10am,” said Sanderson.

“It is due to come up to somewhere between three and five degrees above freezing and if it does that we have a decent chance.

“If it doesn’t we will know by 10 but we need to give it every chance.”
