Appeal to find stolen horses

A couple have made an appeal to the public to help them trace two horses stolen on Bank Holiday Monday night.

A couple have made an appeal to the public to help them trace two horses stolen on Bank Holiday Monday night.

The two horses, which been in the family for years, were stolen from their stable at the home of Tom and Jacqui Freyne on Grove Road in Fethard in Co Tipperary between midnight and 7am.

One of the horses is a Dun Gelding, standing 15 hands 1 inch and aged 19. The other is a chestnut mare, aged eight years old and standing 16 hands 1 inch.

Both of the horses have been in the owners' family for years and they are very concerned, particularly for the older horse.

Gardaí at Fethard and Clonmel are dealing with the investigation.

A reward is being offered for their safe return and anyone with any information is asked to contact 087-2506156 or 087-2026837.
