Parents affected are also meeting today to discuss a motion to withdraw their support from the Dunne inquiry over what they say is a lack of progress.

The inquiry began its work in private in March of last year. The parents are concerned by what they say is a lack of co-operation from doctors and hospitals.

The interim report into the removal and detention of children's organs by doctors and hospitals will go before cabinet today, according to Irishhealth.com.

The cabinet will discuss whether to publish the 38-page interim report by Senior Council Anne Dunne. The Justice Group has already written to the Minister for Health, Michael Martin, requesting a copy.
