Hollywood beauty Radha Mitchell found playing the same character in different incarnations in Woody Allen's latest film Melinda and Melinda so tough, she thought the legendary film-maker would sack her.
The Pitch Black actress played the 'pink' character in the morning before switching to her 'black' alter-ego in the afternoon - but Allen's lack of communication and preparation left Mitchell fearing the worst.
She tells British movie magazine Hotdog: "It was difficult because there was no rehearsal and no discussion about anything… Woody just sat behind the camera didn't say anything.
So I went home and called my manager and said: 'I'm probably going to get fired.' But I knew they didn't have the budget to fire me so I eventually calmed down a bit."
