Police attacked in Down disturbances

Five police officers were injured in an attack in Co Down this morning.

Five police officers were injured in an attack in Co Down this morning.

The incident happened when they were called to deal with a disturbance at a car park in Newcastle.

Bricks and bottles were thrown at them by a group of people who had gathered in the car park.

Two police cars were also damaged.
