President George W Bush has announced that the US is freezing the assets of three leading Islamic charities.

President George W Bush has announced that the US is freezing the assets of three leading Islamic charities.

The groups were suspected of having links to the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Speaking at the White House the US President said: "Those who do business with terror will do no business with the United States - or anywhere else the United States can reach."

So far the US government has frozen over $61m worth of assets, it says are linked to international terrorism.
