An Irishman has died in Laos while he was truying to cross a river.

An Irishman has died in Laos while he was truying to cross a river.

Gary Price from Cullane in Swinford, Co Mayo lost his life on Sunday. It is understood the 23-year-old had been due to return home to Ireland in the coming days.

His family is being offered consular assistance by the Irish embassy in Hanoi, in Vietnam.
