Slimmers are being urged to buy a pair of diet knickers which make fat melt away, according to its makers.
The Wonderslim range, which has gone on sale in Japan, comprises knee-length sports pants, two types of girdle and close-fitting men's boxer shorts.
Each Wonderslim garment has a seaweed and caffeine mixture which is massaged into the skin by the movements of the wearer.
It's claimed the ingredients interact with natural chemicals in the body, causing fat from around the bottom and thighs to dissolve.
According to the Sydney Sun-Herald the Fuji Spinning Company claims that in tests half of those who tried the pants lost some weight over 30 days.
Fuji Spinning Company spokesman Makoto Suzuki told the paper: "Our products give people a helping hand where it is most needed."
He added that the company was also working on a range of vitamin-enhancing knickers, designed for career women too busy to have their own nutrition programmes.
