Efforts are expected to intensify today to avert a planned one-day strike by Aer Lingus cabin crew next Wednesday.

Efforts are expected to intensify today to avert a planned one-day strike by Aer Lingus cabin crew next Wednesday.

The national airline is at loggerheads with the trade union IMPACT over its members’ rejection of a Labour Court pay recommendation.

Management has said that it is analysing why staff voted against the offer.

However, IMPACT says that unless there is progress, Wednesday’s strike will go ahead.
