Bosses at Columbia Pictures in Hollywood are facing an expensive legal battle after a jeweller's beachfront home was wrecked by a film crew.
Yossi Dina rented out his Malibu, California, home to Columbia studio chiefs for Adam Sandler's new film Spanglish, but he was horrified when the crew wrecked furnishings and walls to the tune of an alleged $76,000 (€58,900).
Speaking exclusively to American court show Celebrity Justice, he says: "I couldn't believe they would leave it the way they left it. I was ready to cry."
Outraged by the damage and by studio bosses' reluctance to pay the full amount for repairs on the home, which was formerly owned by singer Al Jolsen, Dina is taking the studio heads to court.
He adds: "I'm very angry. It's ridiculous. I feel insulted."
Dina is demanding legal costs and a further $200,000 (€155,000) for lost income he could have made renting out the property for the summer.
