Over fifty suspected drink driving offences were recorded over Christmas Day and St Stephens Day.

Over fifty suspected drink driving offences were recorded over Christmas Day and St Stephens Day.

The garda figures just released form part of its random breath testing scheme attached to their road safety campaign.

A strong garda presence will continue in all parts of the country, with drink driving being prioritised.
