A fire has destroyed a row of shops in a village outside Newry in Co Down.

A fire has destroyed a row of shops in a village outside Newry in Co Down.

It is thought that the fire started in a chip shop in the village of Camlough.

Police in the North are insisting that the blaze quickly spread to nearby buildings and other premises.

At the moment police do not suspect foul play.

It is believed the fire started accidentally. There are no reports of any people in the area having been injured.
