Leaving Cert results to be included in British points system
Education Minister Noel Dempsey has announced that Irish Leaving Cert results are to be included in the UCAS system for admission to colleges in the North and Britain.
Mr Dempsey said educational experts had drawn up plans to benchmark Leaving Cert results with those awarded in British exams.
He said Irish Leaving Cert results would be included in the UCAS system from 2006.
