Tennis: Ferrero defeats Hewitt in straight sets

Fourth seed Juan Carlos Ferrero defeated sixth seed Leyton Hewitt in straight sets today to progress to the semi-finals of the French Open.

Fourth seed Juan Carlos Ferrero defeated sixth seed Leyton Hewitt in straight sets today to progress to the semi-finals of the French Open.

The Spaniard won the match 6-4, 6-2, 6-1 to complete the victory.

Hewitt had a score to settle today, but failed to do so.

Ferrero defeated Hewitt in the Davis Cup final before a boisterous crowd in Barcelona last December, giving Spain its first ever Davis Cup.
