The row between GAA officials and players in Cork remains unresolved this morning despite talks last night aimed at achieving a breakthrough.

Top GAA official Pauric Duffy and Labour Relations Commission chief executive Kieran Mulvey travelled to Cork last night to mediate in talks between the two sides.

The discussions lasted until 3am and proposals were put forward, but neither side is prepared to comment until they have had a chance to digest the recommendations.

The players are due to meet tonight to assess the situation.
