Elderly woman dies in Skibbereen fire

A 90-year-old woman has died following a house fire in Co Cork.

A 90-year-old woman has died following a house fire in Co Cork.

The woman's 88-year-old brother was injured in the blaze at Mercy Heights in Skibbereen and has been taken to hospital.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at approximately 4.45am today.
