Boy, 14, dies in taxi collision

A 14-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a car outside Cork City last night.

A 14-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a car outside Cork City last night.

The boy was one of a group of youths crossing the South Ring Road in Douglas at 11pm last night when he collided with a taxi.

He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
