Irish women covering up arms, despite warm weather

Irish women are so concerned about showing their arms during the warm summer months, that nearly one third will wear long-sleeved tops to hide them, according to a new survey.

The study, conducted by Redc Research for Slendertone, showed that 32% of Irish women admitted they try to cover their arms as much as possible, due to the poor image they have of them, with women aged 45-54 as the most likely concealers.

The survey also noted that the stomach is the most cited body part that Irish adults would like to change, improve or tone. This was followed by legs.

The results were announced as Slendertone launched its 'System-Arms' product, which tones and firms both arms at once.
