Kelly to be transferred to Cork: Report

Former councillor Michael Kelly, who was shot in the head today in Limerick, is being transferred for treatment to Cork University Hospital, it has been reported.

Former councillor Michael Kelly, who was shot in the head today in Limerick, is being transferred for treatment to Cork University Hospital, it has been reported.

Mr Kelly, who resigned his seat in 2002, was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital by ambulance this morning.

Gardaí from Limerick’s Roxboro station are investigating the shooting incident. It is the second time Mr Kelly has been shot.
