County Tipperary GAA PRO Liz Howard has withdrawn her resignation following a meeting of the board last night.
Howard, who has held the position for more than two decades and came to national prominence in media circles during that time, resigned last week on a "point of principle" following an internal row involving chairman Donal Shanahan.
Her resignation was accepted by the County executive after a secret ballot was taken.
However, after a dramatic change of heart, having received a huge level of support from clubs, players and GAA personalities, Ms Howard decided to withdraw her resignation prior to it being ratified by the full County board.
She said that she was prepared to "build bridges" after being "deeply hurt" by the events of the last three weeks.
The County executive will now meet to discuss the matter again before a final decision is taken.
