Four found alive under quake ruins

Four more people have been pulled alive from the rubble of Iran’s devastating earthquake.

Iranian soldiers found the two men and two women late last night after rescue workers had all but given up hope of finding more survivors from Friday’s 6.6-magnitude quake.

Normally people trapped under collapsed buildings can survive three days – a deadline that expired on Monday morning.

“It’s a miracle,” said Mohammad Nickam of the Health Ministry.

Deputy Health Minister Mohammed Akbari said the four were in “relatively good condition.”

Most foreign rescue teams had left the area in the belief that there was little hope of finding more survivors
