Wright off the dating scene

Former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star Mark Wright has a self-imposed dating ban ahead of the start of his new show.

Former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star Mark Wright has a self-imposed dating ban ahead of the start of his new show.

The lothario is hosting ‘Take Me Out: The Gossip’, a new spin off from the main dating show - where one guy has to impress a group of girls then pick a date from those who are interested in him - but has ruled out any chance of dating the girls who aren’t chosen.

He told The Sun newspaper: “’Take Me Out’ girls may be looking for Mr Right — but it's not Mark Wright.

"I'm single but there is no way I am dating anyone from the show. I'm working and I am too professional. It's not happening."

In the show – which starts tonight - Mark and co-host Zoe Hardman will quiz couples after their dates to see what they really think of each other. Although he has appeared on ‘TOWIE’ and ‘I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here’, Mark has little experience hosting, and admits he’s worried about how it will come off.

He added: "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I'll be honest, it's a brand new show so there is a bit of pressure.

"But it's going to be good fun. We will get funny stories — you will have to watch to see what they are!"

The third series of ‘Take Me Out’ starts on ITV1 tonight at 7.30pm, followed by ‘Take Me Out: The Gossip’ on ITV2 at 8.30pm.
