Brazilian striker Ronaldo could miss this summer’s World Cup finals due to a knee injury that has caused him to return to Brazil for treatment.

The injury-dogged striker showed flashes of brilliance before Christmas, but he has now been forced to leave Italy after hurting his knee.

He is not under scrutiny of Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
