Seven people were killed by a car bomb in north-western Pakistan today, police said.

Police official Irfanullah Khan said the explosives-laden vehicle hit a security forces checkpoint on the outskirts of Peshawar.

He said police officers were among the dead.

A massive truck bombing at the regional headquarters of Pakistan’s top intelligence agency killed 10 people in the city yesterday.

Police said the bombing was a suicide attack.
