An internal investigation is underway at Killarney Garda Station in Co Kerry.

An internal investigation is underway at Killarney Garda Station in Co Kerry.

It is believed that that two senior gardaí from the district are at the centre of the inquiry.

A chief superintendent from outside the county is believed to have started the probe two weeks ago.

It has not been revealed at this stage what exactly is being investigated, but it is thought that the process will be complete within days.
