Nurses at Bantry General Hospital in Co Cork are set to launch strike action tomorrow following the collapse of talks with hospital management today.

Nurses at Bantry General Hospital in Co Cork are set to launch strike action tomorrow following the collapse of talks with hospital management today.

The Irish Nurses' Organisation had met management in an effort to resolve the dispute, which centres on pay and working conditions brought about by a lack of staff and resources.

However, the two sides failed to broker a resolution and INO officials said industrial action now seems inevitable.
