IMPACT care workers in the intellectual disability sector are presenting their case at the Labour Court this afternoon.

IMPACT care workers in the intellectual disability sector are presenting their case at the Labour Court this afternoon.

Last week, the union suspended a strike affecting 1,200 staff at residential homes for the disabled pending the Labour Court negotiation.

IMPACT spokesman, Kevin Callinan, said the acceptance by employers that staff in the sector share a common pay and grading structure with colleagues in residential children’s homes was a breakthrough.
