Tyrone footballer Brian Dooher and Limerick hurler Ollie Moran have been announced as the Vodafone GAA All-Stars Players of the Month for June, just 24 hours after winning the Opel Gaelic Player of the Month gongs.
It is the second successive month that the players chosen for the GPA honour have also collected the Vodafone All-Stars award - Longford footballer Brian Kavanagh and Cork's All-Star hurler Ronan Curran had a double awards success for May.
This is Tyrone captain Dooher's second Vodafone Player of the Month award - he was previously honoured four years ago in August 2003.
The Clann na nGael clubman was also selected as an All-Star in 2003 and picked up a second award in 2005. He toured Dubai with the All-Stars in January.
The 30-year-old Dooher, who works as a vet, has been troubled by injuries in recent seasons but he looked back to his best as he landed five points from play in Tyrone's Ulster SFC semi-final defeat of Donegal.
Limerick star Moran, a Vodafone All-Star nominee and tourist as a defender, returned to attacking duties after a six-year break for this year's championship and it has proven to be a remarkable success.
He led the line from centre-forward and was Limerick's inspiration in the first two Munster SHC games against Tipperary, and fittingly he scored one of the winning points in the second replay.
From the Ahane club, the 31-year-old Moran is a multi-talented sportsman who was once earmarked as a future rugby international star but chose to concentrate on hurling.
Playing tribute to both players, GAA President Nickey Brennan said: "All of us were enthralled by the wonderful contribution of all the players in the three games between Limerick and Tipperary and Ollie is an outstanding representative of that group. It was also wonderful last month to see Tyrone and Brian Dooher in full flight again."
