The wedding of Russell Brand and Katy Perry is to take place at a luxury resort outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary near Jaipur, an Indian tour operator said today.
Rajasthan Tours manager Mohan Singh said his company was one of several involved in organising the six-day celebration that begins on Saturday with a Hindu wedding ceremony.
Singh said the British actor-comedian and the US pop star have hired 13 vehicles to take some of their 80 or so guests on tours of the tiger sanctuary in the days after the wedding.
He said the couple would stay in a luxury tent at the Aman-i-Khas resort, with guests staying at the nearby Vanyavilas and Sher Bagh resorts.
Private security has been stationed at the hotels, which have refused to discuss the event with media.
The 35-year-old comedian proposed to Perry in India outside the Taj Mahal while the pair were enjoying a romantic holiday there in December 2009.
Perry, 25, has appealed for privacy on Twitter.
