Celtic are to appeal the one match ban Martin O'Neill received after he was sent off in his sides 3-2 defeat at Juventus.

The Celtic manager was outraged when a controversial penalty was awarded against his side in Turin, who had battled back into contention after being two goals down, and was sent off by the German referee.

The Glasgow giants will have their appeal heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

If the ban remains, O'Neill will have to watch Tuesday's game at Celtic Park against Porto from the stands.

O'Neill is also banned from his team's dressing room.
