The counting of votes in the Seanad election will resume at 10am in Leinster House.
Officials called a halt to counting shortly after midnight last night, after seven seats had been filled.
Francie O’Brien of Fianna Fail and the Labour Party’s Kathleen O’Meara were both elected to the agriculture panel on the first count, while the five seats on the culture and education panel were also filled, with broadcaster Pascal Mooney topping the poll.
