UK trains delayed after signalman gets stuck in toilet

Trains were held up in the UK when a signalman got stuck in a toilet cubical.

Travellers found themselves inconvenienced after contact was lost with the signal box at Henwick in Worcester, on the Hereford main line.

The driver of a Hereford to London service got out of his train and walked to the signal box to see what the problem was.

It was then discovered the signalman was stuck in the Victorian building’s outside toilet.

The rail company, Network Rail, has apologised.
