Conjoined twins separation a success

Conjoined Cork twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf have successfully been separated today.

Conjoined Cork twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf have successfully been separated today.

A spokesperson for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London said: "I can confirm that the twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf have been separated in a 14-hour operation yesterday (Wednesday 7 April).

"The twins are in intensive care and are sedated but stable. We are pleased with how the operation went."

Their parents say the sun is shining today for their two little fighters, who have won the battle of their lives.

They have thanked the team of surgeons involved in the operation and everyone who prayed for them.
