A late-night car bomb targeting an Iraqi patrol in Baghdad killed six people, including three policemen, and injured 26 others.

A late-night car bomb targeting an Iraqi patrol in Baghdad killed six people, including three policemen, and injured 26 others.

The blast, in Baghdad’s Jadiriyah district, hit a café near al-Hussein Square last night. The vehicle was loaded with more than 1,000 pounds of explosives.

Among the wounded were 11 policemen, said spokesman Colonel Adnan Abdul-Rahmanhe. The cafe is located in an area with several foreign embassies and corporate offices.
