Carlow boss Paul Bealin has denied reports that Derek Hayden is set to transfer to Laois.

Carlow boss Paul Bealin has denied reports that Derek Hayden is set to transfer to Laois.

The county's Footballer of the Year is yet to link up with his Carlow collegues for training which has sparked speculation that he is on the verge of a move to Liam Kearns' side.

Bealin, however, has claimed he has received reassurances from Hayden that he is staying put.
