Jubilant GAA fans will continue to be banned from breaking out in celebration on the pitch at Croke Park this year, GAA president Sean McCague said today.

Jubilant GAA fans will continue to be banned from breaking out in celebration on the pitch at Croke Park this year, GAA president Sean McCague said today.

McCague revealed that the ban, introduced last year, will continue despite going against heavy tradition in the interests of safety as well as meeting insurance terms.

"It's really a very serious matter. The very reasons why we had to ensure that the pitch was not encroached upon are still valid."
